Untitled, like most of my stuff. OPINIONS PLEASSSEEE.

Published April 24, 2013 by ashleyhannelore

The words, they hurt. The stares and the glares, they show no care. We own the right to live a normal life without the fear of getting bullied.
Each and every day, each and every student, running through the halls, don’t wanna be called stupid. Don’t wanna be diluted.
Wake up just to feel the pain of the blade that runs across their vein. The blood stains on white sleeves. Only surviving if they truly believe. But who can believe in love, when you live in a world of hate? “This is my fate” on this very date.
     They pull the trigger.
But wait, we were best friends. This isn’t where it ends. They were amazing at everything they did. But we wanted to get rid of that human life. So we led her to the knife.
But if within your lies of compliments is underlying truth, next time you’ll soothe the pain instead of causing them to die.

Goodnight, Goodbye

Published April 23, 2013 by ashleyhannelore

Everything is different now
That I see your faceI’ll say goodnight to you lovely
Goodnight to your wonderful…
Embrace

Goodnight, goodbye
Farewell to you my
Sweet, sweet lover
As you cease to fly, I won’t defy
Goodnight

Everything is different now
Your face has faded awayGoodbye to your blooming eyes
Goodbye to your beautiful array…
Of sadness

Goodnight, goodbye
Farewell to you my
Sweet, sweet loverAs you cease to fly, I won’t defy
Goodnight

As the sun shines down
Your body fades in the wind
As I reach for you, I’ll say…
Goodbye

Goodnight, goodbye
Farewell to you my
Sweet, sweet lover
As you cease to fly, I won’t defy
I love you
Good…bye

I Think About You

Published April 23, 2013 by ashleyhannelore

When I talk to you it’s freedom
You always help me through
You turn my crying into laughter
I’m so happy I’ve met you

And I wonder if you think of me
The way I feel about you
And I wonder if you think about me
Because I always think about you

You’re always on my mind
When I open my eyes each day
You’re always on my mind
When I think about that day

For the first time, we met
I knew I wouldn’t regret
That day for the rest of my life

And I wonder if you think of me
The way I feel about you
And I wonder if you think of me
The way I feel about you
And I wonder if you think about me
Because I always think about you
Because I always think about you

Leave Someday

Published March 17, 2013 by ashleyhannelore

Can’t comprehend
Can see it in her eyes
Pain in her heart
As her whole body cries
She doesn’t know herself
What she has become
Running round in circles
As she learns the rules of thumb

She walks along the street
In the same old blue dress
With her head tilted down
She’s a pretty little mess
She’s got bruises on her arms
And scars on her wrists
She walks all alone
Her hands together in fists
Her family shows no care
They just don’t understand
When she tries to explain
They just lift up a had
She tries to break free
But she can’t find a way
She’s figuring it out
So she can leave someday

He’s bleeding out his pain
His only way to cope
Killing him within
As he loses all hope
He doesn’t know himself
What he has become
Running round in cirlces
As he learns the rules of thumb

He walks along the street
In the same old black suit
His head facing down
He’s a victim of bruit
He’s got bruises on his arms
And scars on his wrists
He walks all alone
His hands together in fists
His dad shows no care
He just doesn’t understand
When the boy tries to explain
His dad lifts up a hand
He tries to break free
But he can’t find a way
He’s figuring it out
So he can leave someday

They didn’t know themselves
What they had become
Ran around in circles
As they learned the rules of thumb

They walk along the street
In the same old torn clothes
Their heads facing forwards
Now everyone knows
Bruises healing
Scars will not be missed
They walk ahead together
They finally exist
Their parents never cared
They just didn’t understand
The kids tried to explain
And just lifted up their hands
They are breaking free
They have found a way
They figured it out
And are leaving today

Hiding Behind Shame

Published March 17, 2013 by ashleyhannelore

Walk away, away from me
Give me all the space
Just so I can breathe
Bring me down, straight to the ground
And leave me, leave me be

You looked straight at me
You saw all my pain
Straight at me and said
“You’re the one to blame.
You did this to yourself.
Hiding behind shame.”

Leave me alone, don’t touch me
I need out of here so I can see
Clearly what I’m fighting for
Why can’t I simply be free?

You looked straight at me
You saw all my pain
Straight at me and said
“You’re the one to blame.
You did this to yourself
Hiding behind shame.”

And now I know
What I have to change
To break out of this terrible
Mess I’ve arranged

You looked straight at me
You saw all my pain
Straight at me
But I’m the one to blame
I did this to myself
No longer hiding behind shame.

How Many Times

Published March 17, 2013 by ashleyhannelore

Every single time
That I see your face
I try my best to blend in
How many times can it take
Before we are numb once again

When I try to fix this
I just make a mess
Everything crumbles down
How many times can it take
Before we are numb once again

So I let go of my fears
And throw them into the sky
Wonder if this will always be my life
Hiding away, where no one can see
The tears shed, the scars made
One day, will I be free?

How many times can it take
Before we are numb once again
I hope that it’s never
Because you are my best friend

So why do I keep wishing
Just to be numb
When you’re all I need to survive
How can I live if I’m not alive

So why do I keep wishing
Just to be numb?

Live Out Love

Published March 17, 2013 by ashleyhannelore

I wanna live everyday like it’s my last
I wanna shout your name from the highest mountain
I wanna share your love with everybody
I wanna tell everyone that I have found Him

Live out love
Let the world know his name
Live out love
Give our God all of the fame
Live out love
Forever show the world how to
Live out love

I wanna change lives the way you’ve changed mine
I wanna be more like you, oh God!
Live life like you, sing your name
In your presence I am awed

Live out love
Let the world know His name
Live out love
Give our God all of the fame
Live out love
Forever show the world how to
Live out love

Everyone deserves the gift of God
Can’t hold back, He never did
Make your voice be heard across the world
We can’t win if we stay hid

Let the world know his name
Give Him all the fame
Give our God all of the praise

Live out love
Let the world know His name
Live out love
Give our God all of the fame
Live out love
Forever show the world how to
Live out love

Ocean

Published March 17, 2013 by ashleyhannelore

To call upon the ocean
To see its crashing waves
To hear my heart’s quiet notion
Is to say that danger saves

Ferocious waves drowning me in lies
All I need is the shore, the truth
But in the moment I’m being baptized
… And I realize, the shore never wanted to soothe

Step foot into the sea of people
Fierce eyes waiting for a plea
A cry for help, searching for a steeple
Yet only finding piles of debris

Ferocious waves drowning me in lies
All I need is the shore, the truth
But in the moment I’m being baptized
And I realize, the shore never wanted to soothe

I was merely being deceived
In this uncontrollable world
Everything I’ve recently believed
Is gone and washed back onto the shore

Ferocious waves drowning me in lies
All I need is the shore, the truth
But in the moment I’m being baptized
And I realize, the shore never wanted to soothe

Everything I’ve recently believed
Is gone and washed back onto the shore
Because in the moment
I was being baptized
