To call upon the ocean
To see its crashing waves
To hear my heart’s quiet notion
Is to say that danger saves

Step foot into the sea of people
Feirce eyes waiting for a plea
A cry for help, searching for a steeple
Yet only finding piles of debri

Ferocious waves drowning me in lies
All I need is the shore, the truth
But in the moment, I’m being baptized
And I realize, the shore never wanted to soothe

I was merely being decieved
In this uncontrollable world
Everything I’ve recently believed
Is gone and washed back onto the shore.
